BASIL SCONES

Ingredients
2 cups/250 g/8 oz self, raising flour 15 g/1/2 oz butter 4 tablespoons shredded basil 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper 1 cup/250 mL/8 fl oz milk

Instructions
643 kilojoules 153 Calories per scone Low Fibre Low Fat 1.5 serves carbohydrate 1. Place flour and butter in a food processor and process until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. 2. With machine running, add basil, black pepper and milk and process until a smooth dough forms. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and using the palm of your hand, press out to 3 cm/ 11/4 in thick, then using a 5 cm/2 in cutter, cut out rounds. Place scones in a nonstick 20 cm/8 in round cake tin and bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Makes 8
