Ingredients:
1/2 cup (85 g) brown sugar
1/2 cup (125 mL) water
20 g polyunsaturated margarine (salt reduced)
500 g kumera, peeled and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds
Instructions
Serve this sweet vegetable with grilled pork chops.
How to prepare:
1. Combine brown sugar, water and margarine in a non-stick frypan. Cook over low heat until margarine melts. Add kumera, cover and continue to cook minutes or until kumera is tender.
2. Add almonds and toss lightly to combine.
