PEACH CHUTNEY

Ingredients
2 green apples, peeled and diced 2 peaches, peeled and chopped 1/3 cup/60 g/2 oz brown sugar 60 g/2 oz raisins 1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger 1 clove garlic, crushed I/2 cup/125 mL/4 fl oz white vinegar

Instructions

Place apples, peaches, sugar, raisins, ginger, garlic and vinegar in a saucepan over a medium heat and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for25 minutes or until chutney is thick. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Cover and seal when cold. 2. Makes 11/2 cupsl375 mL/12 fl oz To sterilize jars, wash well in hot soapy water, then rinse in hot water and dry for about 30 minutes in an oven set at the lowest possible heat. Ensure jars are completely dry before filling or the preserve will spoil.
